It all started when…

Founded in 1950, Merry Mixers is a non-profit organization committed to supporting and raising funds to enhance the level of care for children at MassGeneral for Children at North Shore Medical Center (NSMC) in Salem, MA. Over $1 million dollars has been raised and donated since inception, with $88,000 donated in 2015 alone during the organization’s 65th anniversary year. The Special Care Nursery at MassGeneral for Children at NSMC was recently expanded and updated to a Level II B facility for newborns with help from a $200,000 gift from Merry Mixers. Beginning in 2014, the organization committed to raise funds for the hospital’s Family Resource Center, which provides a wide range of behavioral health resources and services for children, adolescents, families and professionals on the north shore. Our 2018 donation supported the invaluable services provided by the Pediatric Emergency Department, the Pediatric Psychiatry Unit, and the Family Resource Center. Funds raised in 2019 will help with the construction of an outdoor play space for inpatients.
