ABOUT THE MERRY MIXERS

Merry Mixers is a volunteer-run nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting Salem Hospital in Salem, Massachusetts. Founded in 1950 by a group of Marblehead women, the organization has a long-standing commitment to enhancing the quality of care for children and families across the North Shore.

For more than seven decades, Merry Mixers has raised vital funds to support pediatric programs, facilities, and resources at Salem Hospital, ensuring that children receive compassionate, high-quality care close to home

Merry Mixers Pediatric Patient in Need Fund

In 2024, Merry Mixers established the Merry Mixers Pediatric Patient in Need Fund (PPIN)- a dedicated fund at Salem Hospital created to provide critical, immediate support to pediatric patients and families experiencing financial hardship.

The fund helps cover essential items and services not typically covered by insurance, such as safe car seats for newborns, transportation assistance for families visiting hospitalized children, warm clothing, and other necessities that directly impact a child’s well-being. Through PPIN, clinicians are empowered to respond quickly and thoughtfully to families’ most urgent needs during difficult moments.

Thanks to the generosity of our donors, the PPIN supports all pediatric departments at Salem Hospital, including Labor & Delivery, the Special Care Nursery, Pediatric Emergency Services, and Pediatric Psychology.
